Rainwater Harvesting Maintains Our House Year-round in the Desert Near Tucson

This report documents more than 20 years of experience with rainwater harvesting in the Sonoran Desert near Tucson. We obtain basically all the water we need for our household. This demonstrates that rainwater has tremendous potential, as has also been discussed by others among Tucson’s modern water conservation pioneers (e.g., Drs. James [Jim] Riley, Grant McCormick, Courtney Crosson, and the Water Resources Research Center, University of Arizona; references m, n, o; Brad Lancaster; and the Watershed Management Group).
