Tucson Clean and Beautiful is using its Green Stormwater Infrastructure Program to fight drought conditions at the local level in Tucson. The organization's approach to rainwater harvesting involves using a combination of tree canopy, native plants and practices inspired by the Native American Tohono O'odham people, which used terracing and other tactics to slow the flow of rainwater and allow time for it to be captured.
